Tell me, whose heart is the biggest in the world? You will be surprised to know the weight and size

Heart: Earth’s fauna is vast and diverse. The physical structure of different animals and the size of their internal organs are also different. But if the question is whose heart is the biggest in the world, then the answer will be the name of this huge aquatic animal called **Blue Whale**.

Blue whales are the largest mammals on earth, and their hearts are the largest of any animal on earth. The heart of an adult blue whale weighs about 400 pounds (about 180 kg). It is huge in size as well. In short, it is as big as a small car. It is several thousand times larger than the average heart in the human body.

Shape and function of the blue whale heart

An adult blue whale’s heart is about 5 feet long, 4 feet wide, and 5 feet high. This huge heart is capable of pumping millions of liters of blood every day. The main artery leading out of the blue whale’s heart is so large that a human can easily fit inside it. Blue whales pump about 60 gallons (about 230 liters) of blood with each heartbeat.

The size of the blue whale’s heart is important to its body. Because an adult blue whale is about 80 to 90 feet long and can weigh anywhere from 150,000 to 200,000 pounds. An animal of such enormous size requires a very powerful and large heart to manage blood circulation.

Heart rate and function

The blue whale’s heart rate, or beat, can range from 2 to 8 beats per minute, when it dives underwater. But when it rises to the surface and breathes, the heart rate reaches 25-37 beats per minute. This change in heart rate is one of the peculiar characteristics of the animal. Despite such a slow heartbeat, it is possible to deliver enough oxygen to every part of their body.

Amazing facts of the world

The size and weight of the blue whale heart is beyond our imagination. The heart we are familiar with in the human body is much smaller than the heart of a blue whale. The average human heart weighs 10-11 ounces (about 300 grams) and is 12 centimeters in length. Yet it pumps about 7,500 liters of blood a day. From this it can be understood, how huge and incredible is the function of the blue whale’s heart.

The blue whale is not only the largest animal on Earth, but each of its body parts is the largest for its size. Their throats can also reach up to 1 meter in diameter, although strangely they only eat small fish and plankton. The world’s largest heart is an example of natural wonder not only in size but also in workmanship.
